Il racconto completo
Patrick says he felt called to come. In the circle on the final morning, he describes an experience that unfolded in stages. One lesson, then another. He learned a great deal, he says, and lost things too. He wanted to continue, to discover what would come next. But at the third stage, he acknowledges that he overestimated his strength a little.
What he describes then is made of colours and riddles. Images passed through him without giving him all their answers. He even describes a building without a lift, a presence waiting for him upstairs. This is his inner image, his way of trying to describe what he experienced. He cannot explain it all yet. In his own words, he is taking away a great question mark.
On the last evening, Patrick was deeply exhausted. Yet, in the same account, there is also dancing. The happiness he says he felt in it. He laughed a little and cried a lot. These moments do not cancel each other out: difficulty and joy both belong to the experience he describes. In the morning, he calls it demanding, memorable and constructive.
He says there is truly a before and an after, without yet finding precise words for everything that has changed. But his happiness at meeting the others is clear. To describe the group, he uses the image of cement: everyone added something to the mixture, and the team helped it hold together. This is our reading of his words: Patrick can leave with questions and still feel that these days mattered deeply. The question mark remains open, amid the gratitude.
What Patrick describes is his experience alone. Every person's journey is different. Thank you for listening. This was Ayahuasca Stories.
