Connecta Wellbeing Observatory

Longitudinal follow-up designed to help each participant understand their progress and, with their agreement, publish transparent collective findings.

The Observatory is an observational evaluation of our support. It is not proof of medical effectiveness.

Aggregated results

Scores are published on a 0–100 scale. A higher score corresponds to higher perceived wellbeing during the previous two weeks.

39participants with at least one measure
40consented follow-up cycles
6 Aug 2026 to 4 Nov 2026observation period
4 Nov 2026last updated
Aggregated WHO-5 questionnaire results for each measurement time.
Measurement time Responses Response rate Mean score / 100 95% interval
Before the retreat 37 92.5 % 65.3 59.8 – 70.8
Two weeks later 16 76.2 % 70.8 65.0 – 76.5
Three months later Not published: count below the confidentiality threshold.

At “Before the retreat”, 37 people responded. The mean WHO-5 score was 65.3 out of 100 (95% interval: 59.8 to 70.8), and the response rate was 92.5%.

At “Two weeks later”, 16 people responded. The mean WHO-5 score was 70.8 out of 100 (95% interval: 65.0 to 76.5), and the response rate was 76.2%.

Mean change

Three months later Not published: count below the confidentiality threshold.

How measurements are collected

The same standardized instrument is offered at three times. Public analyses include only participants who gave optional consent and never display individual rows.

2

Schedule

  • Day −7: pre-retreat measure
  • Day +14: two weeks later
  • Day +90: three months later
3

Analysis

Stage means and paired changes are reported with their sample size and a descriptive 95% interval. No result below the threshold is exposed.

What these findings cannot establish

  • Without a control group, observed changes cannot be attributed to the retreat alone.
  • Answers are self-reported and may be influenced by participant expectations.
  • Long-term respondents may differ from people who stop responding.
  • One person may contribute several cycles after attending several retreats; means therefore describe follow-up cycles, while the confidentiality threshold counts distinct people.
  • A WHO-5 score is a wellbeing indicator, not a medical diagnosis.

Data, consent and confidentiality

The medical questionnaire remains primarily a safety tool. Its use by the Observatory is a separate, explicit and optional choice applying only to responses collected after this consent was introduced.

Authorised medical scope in version 1

  • derived age band, never the date of birth in publications;
  • self-reported sex;
  • pre-retreat anxiety level;
  • whether current psychological or psychiatric follow-up is present;
  • psychiatric treatment change during the previous twelve months;
  • previous ayahuasca experience;
  • whether a recent major event occurred, without the free-text account.

Always excluded from the Observatory v1 analysis dataset

Names, contact details, free text, detailed diagnoses, hospitalisations, suicidal history, medication names and dosages, emergency contacts and all unnecessary information.

The website publishes anonymous, aggregated statistics only. Individual and pseudonymised data are never accessible to search engines or AI assistants.

Consent can be withdrawn through the personal questionnaire link or by emailing stef@connecta.life. Withdrawal excludes the data from future analyses.
