7. Nature of the services and safety
The retreats offered by Connecta Life are personal development and support services. They do not constitute medical treatment, psychotherapy or a guarantee of results, and they do not replace medical or psychological care. Certain practices may pose serious health risks and may be subject to contraindications.
Participants must provide accurate and complete information requested about their health and treatments, report any change before the retreat, and never stop or alter a treatment without the advice of the healthcare professional who is treating them.
These obligations do not transfer to the participant risks attributable to a failure by Connecta Life. No provision excludes or limits Connecta Life’s liability for bodily injury attributable to an act or omission by the service provider, gross negligence, failure to perform an essential obligation, or where the law prohibits such a limitation.
8. Applicable law and competent courts
Contracts concluded with consumers are governed by Spanish law, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections that apply to them. The competent courts are determined by mandatory Spanish and European rules. No exclusive territorial jurisdiction that is unfavorable to the consumer is imposed.
Subject to its conditions of application, the Brussels I bis Regulation notably allows consumers to bring proceedings before the courts of their domicile; professionals may generally bring proceedings against consumers only in the State of the consumer’s domicile. Advance derogations are very limited (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, Articles 17 to 19).
In matters concerning personal data, any person may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or the competent supervisory authority, without prejudice to their right to seek judicial remedies.
9. Mediation and dispute resolution
In the event of a consumer dispute:
- Mediation: We prioritize the amicable resolution of disputes
- Out-of-court redress: consumers may consult alternative dispute resolution bodies and the European Consumer Centres Network
- Contact: stef@connecta.life
10. Contractual scope and amendments
For bookings and paid services, the versioned Terms and Conditions of Sale accepted by the participant constitute the authoritative contractual document and prevail over any incompatible general wording in this legal notice.
This legal notice may be updated for the future. For each booking, the version of the Terms and Conditions of Sale actually accepted and archived remains applicable to the contract; any subsequent change to the website has no retroactive effect.
